Step 1: Discovery call (and we can still schedule calls in between milestones).

Step 2: Hire us on Upwork and deposit the funds in Escrow. Here’s a link to know about Upwork Escrow >>>

Step 3: Send us your Story
To make things as quick and smooth as possible, we need the following things from you to get the ball rolling:

-
Text of your story. A copy of your story (preferably proofread) which contains the actual text that the book will contain;

-
Your preferred Storyboard. Typically, we will provide you with a storyboard but if you already have a preference on how it would probably look like, send it to us so we already know what you have in mind. From there, we can further collaborate if needed;

-
Descriptions of your characters;

-
An idea of the illustration style required (if you have a preference). Though we always recommend a unique illustration, you can send us links to illustrations that you like including the preferred text font. The purpose is not to copy it but have an inspiration and get a better perspective of your idea;

-
A descriptive paragraph for the back cover;

-
A dedication for inside the book (if you wish to have one); and

-
Your preferred book orientation (i.e. vertical, horizontal, square)

Step 4: Storyboard/sketch building (our version). This is where you can check the sketches we made and give suggestions (if any).

Step 5: Illustration development (approx. 4 - 8 weeks of work dependent on the complexity of the illustrations). Update will be given to you from time to time so you will also have the chance to see the initial illustrations.

Step 6: Book template generation. Importing the text and images, editing etc (approx. 1-2 weeks of work)

Step 7. First draft will be sent to you for proofing. Once the final draft has been sent, funds in Upwork Escrow shall be released.
Note: If you self-publish using Amazon Kindle, we can set it up for you without additional cost.
